ManpowerGroup Operations Manager in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin

Our client, a leading food manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our manufacturing processes and ensure the efficient production of our food products. The Operations Manager will play a critical role in optimizing productivity, managing resources, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. This position requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, including production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.

  2. Lead and motivate a team of production supervisors, operators, and support staff to achieve production targets and quality objectives.

  3. Implement and maintain standardized operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency in manufacturing processes.

  4. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement.

  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain, to optimize production processes and resolve operational issues.

  6. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, food safety standards, and company policies.

  7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.

  8. Develop and manage operating budgets, controlling costs while maximizing operational efficiency.

  9. Evaluate equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements to improve reliability and efficiency.

  10. Implement safety protocols and promote a culture of safety awareness among employees, conducting regular training and inspections.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in operations management within the food manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of food production processes, quality systems, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, USDA).

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.

  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and other manufacturing software applications.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
