JOB DUTIES: Assure the food safety, legality, and quality of the products. Responsible for planning and process development, employee safety, product quality and overall manufacturing performance. Provide direction and management of departments consistent with company's business objectives. Responsible for overall safety, quality, service level, efficiency, inventory control, waste reduction, staffing and spending within departments. Administers company policies to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies. Work effectively with Quality, Planning, Purchasing, Marketing and Engineering to coordinate new product launches to meet customer demand. Promote good employee relations with both staff and hourly employees. Manage capital and discretionary spending budgets. Manage employee development and performance. Assure that all records and data are accurate and in compliance with established standards. Maintain department in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliant state and assures that housekeeping and floor areas are constantly maintained. Perform other duties or projects as assigned. Domestic and international travel up to 10% of time to unanticipated locations as needed for technical trainings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Must have the following skills set (evidence by work experience/internship or completed graduate coursework) involved in:

 

  1. Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) operation.
  2. Oracle business or similar resource planning
  3. Power Electronics and Power Systems Analysis.
  4. Operations Research and Modern Control System.
  5. SAP converting equipment.
  6. Non-woven absorbency bagging and packaging techniques.
  7. Lean Six Sigma, FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), TPM (Total Predictive Maintenance).
  8. OSHA safety regulations, enforcement, and training.
  9. QMS (Quality Management Systems) and QA (Quality Assurance).
  10. Supply chain management.
