JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: The College of Business, Industry, Life Science and Agriculture at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville is seeking a full-time, 9-month Construction Management Lecturer. The Department of Industrial Studies has three areas of study including Manufacturing, Construction Management and Technical and Engineering Education. The department is looking for a dynamic full-time lecturer for the Construction Management area. The candidate will have shared responsibilities in the different areas instructing at all levels. The candidate will also have the desire to promote Technical Education. This is a full-time, 9-month position with an anticipated start date of August 26, 2024. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include undergraduate teaching of courses in, or related to construction management, covering a full range from introductory to capstone levels dependent on applicants\' qualifications and/or experience. Assist in management of the construction lab that provides unique hands-on experiences in commercial, residential, and infrastructure construction. The applicant will assist in oversight of the program and engage industry stakeholders through advisory board and professional peer groups. Additional responsibilities include serving as academic advisor, assisting with maintaining equipment in laboratories, developing curricula, maintaining professional contacts, engaging in scholarly activities, research, continued professional development, and university and community service. Applicants may be asked to teach courses through alternative delivery methods and advise relevant student organizations. What You\'ll Need to Succeed: Bachelor\'s Degree in at least one area listed above, plus 5 years of construction related professional experience in a closely related field. Applicant will be required to obtain a Master\'s within 2 years of hiring. OR Master\'s Degree in at least one of the following: Construction Management, Industrial Technology Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Project Management or related field preferred.
