FirstService Residential Director – Region PMO in Plantation, Florida

Job Overview:

Responsible for leading initiatives and transformational change focused on improvement. You will oversee the project management process including PMO team methodologies, scope, change management, analysis, and metrics. You will partner with leaders from across the region to project manage transformation initiatives focused on streamlining the processes, improve customer experience and overall business results.

Your Responsibilities: (7-10)

  • Collaborate with leadership to align PMO team with organizational goals and initiatives, including technology solutions across all business operations.
  • Optimize the allocation of resources across projects, maximizing productivity.
  • Develop and oversee the PMO project methodology, governance, standards, and best practices to deliver detailed project plans.
  • Lead the change management including communications, training, process maps and document SOPS.
  • Report on key metrics to provide visibility into productivity / adoption of new technology and processes.
  • Drive coordination of requirements between the business and IT to ensure alignment to business needs.
  • Implement systems to monitor project portfolio progress including progress against timeline, benefit realization, risk/issue resolution and resource/budget variance. Provide regular communication and presentation to key stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Work with cross functional leadership to scope projects and manage work plans to ensure successful implementation.
  • Builds and manages strong relationships with project stakeholders, including internal and external customers and corporate office. Establish mechanisms for feedback.
  • Ensures timely issue identification, resolution, and escalation when appropriate within leadership teams throughout the organization.

Skills & Qualifications: (4-8)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university and five to seven years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of program/project management experience, PMP designation preferred.
  • 2+ years of process improvement experience in a transformational organization or fast changing industry
  • Business process improvement
  • Strong analytical skills to perform data collection and benchmarking against best practices.
  • Proficient in project management tools and technology, Windows, and Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, Vizio, and Outlook. Strong proficiency researching the Internet.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, judgment, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work with highly sensitive or confidential information.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently and be self-driven

Supervisor:

Possible supervisory responsibilities for a team as role grows.

Travel:

Work involves minimal travel in the assigned region.
