What you’ll do…

  • You will supervise and implement the Company Construction Program ensuring that each job-site utilizes the construction rules, practices and policies

  • You will represent the company and interfaces with customer, developers, property owners, utilities, and municipalities

  • You will coordinate, lead, and provide assistance to crews, subcontractors and other interested parties

  • You will install and bury cable along right of ways safely. Will also be working on personal property installing fiber or copper drops to homeowners.

  • You will use mechanized equipment such as backhoe, trucks, plows, trenchers and manual equipment such as shovels, rack, pick axe, posthole diggers to install buried cable, fiber, and placement of pedestals or grade level vaults along right of ways.

  • You will organize, plan, multi-task, prioritize and re-prioritize daily workload and work with minimum supervision and the ability to meet deadlines, establish deadlines, and to prioritize deadlines while communicating effectively and professionally with all staff.

  • You will ensure that construction schedules are met on time.

  • You will follow all safety guidelines. Is alert and aware of surroundings and working hazards. Wears hardhat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, approved safety footwear and seatbelt.

  • You will ensures all Corporate Policies and Procedures are followed.

Qualifications

Who we are looking for…

  • You have 1-3 year's minimum experience within the Underground Utility Construction Industry but will train right applicant

  • You have working knowledge of the telecommunications industry standards, practices and regulations pertaining to the construction of fiber optic and copper cable outside plant facilities

  • You have working knowledge of aerial and underground construction methods and engineering requirements

  • You have experience in working through all types of weather, including inclement weather

  • You are able to lift, climb, and carry weight up to 80lbs

  • You are a self starter

  • You have effective communication skills

  • You are authorized to work in the United States for this company

  • You are able to travel and work extended hours; overtime and weekends as needed

  • You have a valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience
