Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling axles and brake components, ensuring high-quality, on-time products in a fast-paced environment. You will read blueprints, verify parts, and report any defects to supervisors. You will also familiarize yourself with tools, instrumentation, and calibration equipment, and communicate with other stations on the assembly line to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Additionally, you will maintain and service equipment, conserve resources, and assemble components to approved specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble axles and brake components.

  • Read and interpret blueprints to verify required parts.

  • Report any part or equipment defects to supervisors.

  • Familiarize yourself with tools, instrumentation, and calibration equipment.

  • Communicate effectively with other stations on the assembly line.

  • Maintain and service equipment as needed.

  • Conserve resources and minimize waste.

  • Assemble components accurately, thoroughly, and quickly to approved specifications.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Strong work ethic and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.

  • Punctuality and reliability for all shifts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with mechanical assembly is a plus.

  • Ability to work with a tape measure.

  • Knowledge of mechanical and assembly line processes.

Work Environment

This position is in a non-climate controlled facility. The schedule is Monday to Thursday, with the possibility of half-days on Friday. The first shift runs from 6am to 2:30pm, with the potential to work until 4:30pm.

The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $18.25
