Description

Robert Half has partnered with one of the US largest providers of interior design & finish solutions to find their next Senior Accountant.

Position: Sr. Accountant

Paying: 90k-110k depending on experience + discretionary bonus in place.

Schedule: In office with flexibility for family/personal needs

Industry: Manufacturing

Reports to: Accounting Manager

Selling Points: Company is in growth mode and this person will have opportunities to grow with them, laid back family feel type with great management in place that takes care of their employees. Chance to be on the ground floor of a growing accounting department. You will be able to bring your ideas on implementation of systems and processes.

Essential Functions:

Month-End and Year-End Close:

  • Coordinate and execute month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare and review, if needed, journal entries, and perform necessary adjustments.

  • Perform flux analysis, account reconciliations and transactional research monthly and on an ad-hoc basis.

  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits, ensuring compliance and providing necessary documentation.

Process Improvement and Systems Enhancement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and system enhancements to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency.

  • Actively participate in system implementations or upgrades related to financial systems, providing subject matter expertise and user support.

Team Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and growth.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as finance, operations, and legal to support strategic initiatives and address financial matters.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing insights and recommendations on accounting principles, policies, and best practices.

    Requirements

Requirements. You must have all of the below to be considered for the role:

  • Bachelors in Accounting

  • 3-5+ years of accounting experience

  • Large ERP experience (SAP)

  • Cost, Manufacturing or Project Accounting experience with Inventory

Nice to have:

  • Public Accounting experience in Audit

  • CPA/CPA Candidate

  • Revenue Recognition/ASC 606 experience
