JPMorgan Chase Software Engineer in Plano, Texas

Centralized Transaction Operations IT (CTO IT) delivers timely solutions using the best design and implementation tools, including Service Oriented Architecture, Business Application Monitoring and Business Process Management, in order to continuously improve business processes while taking an outside-in, customer-centric perspective.

As an Application Developer, your activities would include design, development, and testing of an innovative event driven micro-service platform that will include loading, retrieving, and reporting, of custodial transaction data.

You will ensure that you adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques, and that all technical documentation is complete and in compliance with company standards. Responsibilities will include creating technical requirements, technical designs, coding, testing, and deploying applications. You will work closely with the team to provide estimates and create appropriate project documentation. You will debug application issues and provide 2nd level support for resolution of production issues.

Overall, we are looking for someone that has a passion for technology and programming that is able to work well with others with the same passion, in an ever-changing environment that will offer great challenges. The ability, and personal drive, to learn and adapt new technologies for use within our team and our team's projects is a quality we are looking for.

• Strong teamwork skills are a huge plus.

• 3+ years of Java programming experience

• 3+ years working experience with Application Server technology (i.e. WebSphere, Tomcat, JBoss, Tyger/FAST AS)

• Experience with one or more JMS implementations.

• Experience with clustered environments.

• Experience with Service Oriented Architecture.

• Knowledge/Experience with event handling (i.e. Kafka)

• Strong working knowledge of Java integration technologies (i.e. Spring)

• Strong working knowledge of SQL (Oracle specifically).

• Strong working knowledge of data modeling standards and Java class structures.

• Strong development, coding, testing (JUnit) and debugging skills

• Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures (i.e. git, CVS, Subversion, Perforce...)
