Duties: Overseeing global data privacy requirements for the organization, including identifying priorities and targeting for the legal organization based on changes to regulations, the organization, and business models. Supporting the design, implementation and improvement of rules, strategies, and policies for ensuring compliance with global data privacy regulations, such as European Data Privacy Laws, US Data Privacy Laws, and Chinese Data Privacy Laws. Ensuring uniform and consistent processes, concepts guidelines, and templates in connection with legal data privacy matters, with a strong focus on contractual aspects, automation and scale. Overseeing and supervising the Data Privacy Team. Hiring, training, and enabling each zone/region legal lead to provide further trainings and support to their local zone legal colleagues. Directing the Data Privacy Team, supervising their performance, directing training paths, and reviewing performance for functional zone managers. Establishing the role and process in cross-functional data privacy matters, including between development, support, compliance, and sales. Acting as advisor to and coordinating legal data privacy matters handled by outside counsel. Assisting with privacy due diligence and integration activities. Serving as lead partner to C-level executives and compliance on data privacy.

Requirements : Employer will accept a First professional law degree (such as JD) or its foreign equivalent, and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in a Data Privacy related occupation. The position requires experience in the following: 5 years of experience working with global data protection laws and regulations, including Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and ePrivacy Directive; Support the design, implementation and maintenance of Privacy by Design processes, Transfer Impact Assessments, and Subprocessor Management strategies; Create and implement privacy programs, policies, procedures, and guidelines; Draft, implement, and maintain data processing agreements (controller2controller, processor2processor) and supporting materials, including playbooks and FAQs; Evaluate, assess, and guide international data transfers and the implementation of data transfer safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, or Binding Corporate Rules; Working with technical and organizational framework of cloud environments for processing personal data; 5 years of experience providing drafting and negotiating general contract and commercial terms in supporting business transactions, specifically with cloud computing, SaaS, product lifecycle management software, or software analytics; 2 years of experience with overseeing legal and non-legal professionals. 2-5% domestic and international travel is required. Telecommuting is permissible.
