Your Role at Raising Cane’s:

The Real Estate Manager role is responsible for working closely with FP&A, operations, legal and lease administration to provide real estate management support to our existing restaurant portfolio. They will leverage a proficient understanding of leases, restaurant economics, fair market value, and negotiating to optimize our occupancy costs for existing restaurants.

Your Impact and Responsibilities:

• Proactively identifies upcoming lease expirations and initiates renewal discussions

• Reviews lease terms, conditions, and market activity to ensure best possible results during the renewal process

• Coordinates with internal teams to gather necessary documentation for lease renewals

• Conducts negotiations with landlords to secure favorable lease terms, including rental rates, lease duration, and any necessary lease amendments

• Works with broker network to stay informed about local real estate market trends, rental rates, and market conditions to guide lease renewal negotiations

• Produces Fair Market Analysis working with brokers

• Maintains accurate records of lease renewal negotiations, correspondence, and agreements

• Collaborates with legal teams, as necessary, to ensure compliance with legal standards

• Generates regular reports and analysis on lease renewal statuses, upcoming expirations, and success rates

• Provides insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis and market trends

Requirements for Success:

• 5+ years of experience in corporate real estate

• Experience in lease renewal and portfolio management with multi-unit restaurant or retail operator

• Exemplary verbal and written language and grammatical skills, including the ability to interpret and abstract complex lease documents, and negotiate final lease terms with landlords and their attorneys

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple and changing priorities

• Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skills

• Able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively

• Microsoft Proficient: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word

• Able to work at the Dallas Restaurant Support Office located in Plano, TX
