Your Role at Raising Cane’s:

The Total Quality Specialist will help maintain all quality data, reporting to stakeholders as required. This

position evaluates food and/or non-food products against established quality metrics/standards to ensure

adherence to specification. This position will adhere to an established quality program in the evaluation of

finished products, identify quality trends, and communicate with stakeholders. This role works very closely

with Total Quality, Purchasing, Distribution, Culinary, and Restaurant Excellence to help achieve objectives.

Your Impact and Responsibilities:

Evaluate:

  • Develop a schedule for enhanced monitoring of food and packaging items that are in development and/or in test

  • Complete DRSO product evaluations for chicken projects and provide detailed reports to TQ Manager

  • Complete regular non-chicken and packaging evaluations and provide detailed reports to appropriate category stakeholders

Collaboration:

  • Proactively develop honest and collaborative relationships with internal Raising Cane’s teams and suppliers, gaining trust

  • Ensure quality expectations and specifications are met

  • Collaborate with Test Kitchen crew to manage regular WCR schedule

  • Collaborate with TQ, Culinary, suppliers, and third party laboratories to conduct shelf life testing as needed

  • Travel to Raising Cane’s Restaurants, as required, to assist in quality investigations

Reporting:

  • Assist product quality managers, as needed, to compile scorecards

  • Compile and analyze quality data to identify trends and provide suggested solutions ·

  • Maintain all TQ trackers for shelf life, packaging, raw materials, purge, and scorecards

• Develop process for collecting chicken purge data on a regular frequency

• Utilize knowledge of the restaurant and/or manufacturing industry to maintain and improve quality of Raising Cane’s products through processing, storage, and distribution ·

• Help maintain qualified supplier database and help manage supplier onboarding process ·

Requirements for Success:

• Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changing

• Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively

• Microsoft Proficient: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word preferably incident and inventory management systems

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness

• Strong desire to learn and apply knowledge

• Customer and Crewmember focused

• Ability to keep up with the fast pace of a high-growth company

• BS degree in Food Science, Poultry Science, or Nutrition or other with related work experience

• 0-2 years quality assurance experience and/or experience in a restaurant and/or food manufacturing environment

• Position may require up to 20% travel
