The Logistics Billing Analyst in Logistics Business Operation will perform billing system administration, vendor payment, customer service, and financial activities including payments, reporting, and reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

  • Process customer billing accurately on or before deadlines as per requirements and according to company policy.

  • Manage, analyze & prepare correction forms for billing corrections in access database.

  • Review and discuss essential freight documentation that supports charges invoiced and is required for payment.

  • Use knowledge and gain understanding of how billing functions affect P&L.

  • Audit carrier freight bills and interpret tariffs and contracts.

  • Work with the internal technologies required for daily functions.

  • Investigate and diagnose potential errors and duplicate carrier billing.

  • Perform ad-hoc reporting, as required.

  • Perform other job related duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor Degree preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in accounting/finance/business management related experience or related experience in logistics and transportation industry required

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel (v-lookups and pivot tables)

  • Clear and concise communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize, to shift focus to urgent issues while not falling behind on other duties

  • Possess a positive attitude and ability to work in a team setting

  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt to abrupt changes

  • Well organized and good follow up skills

  • Ability to sense urgency and know when to escalate for assistance

  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships with customers and carriers

  • Ability to work overtime when needed
