Our Holiday Inn Express & Suites; Dallas, Plano north features 105 guest rooms and small meeting space, as well as a complimentary hot breakfast, pool, fitness center, and guest laundry. Your day to day
Can you stay one step ahead of maintenance challenges to make our guests’ safety and comfort your number one priority?We’re searching for a Head of Maintenance that goes further to make sure his team always puts safety first.
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
● Managing daily maintenance needs to ensure the right team is always on the right task
● Carrying our a preventative maintenance programme that creates a safe, secure and comfortable environment for our guests to enjoy
● Helping to prepare the departmental budget and keeping tight control of expenses
● Leading hotel renovations and other projects, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely completion of projects within budget
● Maintaining good working relationships with outside contractors
What we need from you
One year experience in hotel maintenance strongly preferred or two years of experience in apartment maintenance
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to organize your time efficiently
Must be able to work with various software including Excel, Word, Slack, Windows OS, etc.
Must be able to speak, read, and write fluent English and demonstrate the ability to communicate diligently and effectively
Must pass a background check
Must be physically capable of performing the functions associated with commercial property maintenance tasks such as lifting, pulling, crouching, climbing, etc.
You must be able to provide two verifiable professional references from previous employers.
What we offer
This is an hourly position starting at $18 per hour (negotiable DOE)
Bonus structure available with up to $250 in monthly awards depending on performance
Wage review after 90 days
