Description

Robert Half has partnered with a growing company working in the Energy/Mineral industry field. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst in Plano, Texas. The chosen candidate will play a key role in maintaining and updating our company's financial models, managing annual and quarterly updates to our operating plan/budget, and monitoring industry trends to suggest strategic business initiatives. This role is crucial in identifying acquisition targets and calculating key performance indicators for the company.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, update, and build financial models for the company

• Manage the preparation of annual and quarterly updates to the operating plan/budget

• Analyze, prepare, and maintain a broad dataset of inputs for financial models

• Monitor industry trends and suggest business strategies

• Explain cash flow variances to the annual plan on a quarterly basis

• Perform analysis on the investment portfolio, identifying and quantifying factors leading to variances from original forecasts

• Identify potential acquisition targets based on future cash flow estimates

• Calculate and monitor key performance indicators for the company

• Prepare and present financial data to management

• Assist with other special projects or duties as assigned.

Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint

• Experience with Financial Modeling and Budgeting - Forecasting

• Proficiency in Financial Analysis and Financial Analytics

• Familiarity with Cash Flow Analysis and Analyzing Trends

• Experience with Tableau and Power BI for financial visualization

• Track record of successful deal evaluation and involvement in investment decisions

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Ability to handle large volumes of data and find actionable trends.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Financial Analyst

• Proven skills in Finance and Financial Analytics

• Demonstrated ability to develop financial models and perform financial modeling

• Experience with budgeting and forecasting, including Forecasting & Modeling

• Proficiency in creating and managing reporting dashboards, including Dashboard metrics and KPI reporting

• Experience in Cash Flow Analysis and ability to analyze trends effectively

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Tableau

• Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) and Financial Analysis

• Ability to create dashboards and interpret dashboard metrics effectively

• Strong analytical skills to analyze financial data and create financial reports

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field

• Professional certification such as CFA or CPA is preferred.
