Caban Systems Engineering Manager in Plano, Texas

Caban is looking for a talented individual to help our engineering team meet its goals. We are scaling renewable energy storage solutions and cloud-based data services for our telecommunications customers.

Key Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.

  • Has successfully managed a team(s) to certify, launch, and deploy energy storage products.

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant telecom industry experience.

  • Experience in NPI and related activities.

  • Experience with regulatory standards (i.e. UL 1973, UL 9540, NFPA 855, GR-CORE, NFPA 70E).

  • Possess excellent leadership & teamwork abilities.

  • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Experience with lithium ion battery energy storage systems is ‘nice to have'.

Role responsibilities:

  • Provides technical leadership.

  • Encourages the team to fulfill their goals using sound engineering principles.

  • Coordinates with senior staff to understand priorities.

  • Manages cross-functional teams in battery engineering, applications and validation activities.

  • Identifies, communicates, and resolves conflicts or crossroads.

  • Helps to define project plans and schedules.

  • Collaborates with program management, sales, supply management, product design, industrial design, field operations, and manufacturing groups.

  • Seeks feedback from field operations for continuous product improvement.
