Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Plano, Texas

Description If you're a practical Accounting Manager with a knack for establishing and regulating an organization's accounting and finance procedures, this could be the job for you! This Accounting Manager position with a burgeoning, innovative company is for candidates who can take charge of daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, including system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration

  • Prepare various technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures

  • Command sufficient knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

  • Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

  • Review and analyze balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant

  • Lead and supervise the accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure close deadlines are met

  • Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook Requirements - Month end closings experience desired

  • Construction Accounting experience

  • Strong familiarity with general ledger

  • Command of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

  • CPA or MBA preferred

  • Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation

  • Recent relevant financial experience

  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

  • Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions

  • Solid technical skills
