The Position

The Associate Director of Capabilities, NNI Employee Experience will proactively lead/execute the development of medium to high complexity learning curriculum within assigned areas of responsibility, including individual contributor, 1st line leader, and 2nd line leader development. This will get accomplished under the leadership of the Director, Capabilities, and business sponsors within the curriculum. This individual will performance consult with client groups to assess business gaps and propose solutions within. Will be responsible to proactively help build and evolve prioritized capabilities in pursuit of measurable business outcomes across the enterprise. Learning solution development should be innovative, while meeting the needs of the modern professional and learner.

Relationships

Reports to the Director, Capabilities NNI Employee Experience. Closely collaborates with all levels of management within the business units, when sponsoring or serving as SMEs. Interacts with Enterprise wide Leadership regarding NNI training needs and proposed initiatives. Partners closely with Global colleagues (i.e. P&O, Medical, Global Product Directors, etc.). External relationships may include interaction with various outside partners to support In-House and Field L&D needs and/or facilitation. Ownership of National Strategic L&D Initiatives require matrix team leadership to completion of desired project outcome (project core team, business sponsor, training sponsor, stakeholders, client group(s) etc.).

Essential Functions

  • With alignment from the Director, Capabilities – NNI Employee Experience, build and manage assigned curricula & measurement strategies within (mid-high complex curriculum and/or asset build to support individual contributor, 1st line leader, and 2nd line leader development)

  • Effectively establish, deepen, and sustain key relationships with divisional learning team, senior level managers and business SMEs to understand their business needs and related performance gaps

  • Lead collaborative efforts with stakeholders to define desired performance outcomes; provide feedback and coaching on issues related to learning programs and policies

  • Through performance consulting, identify performance needs and gaps and facilitate delivery of learning solutions to the business, when appropriate

  • Monitor, analyze, interpret, and report internal trends; make recommendations for learning solutions for the division or function, as appropriate

  • Liaise and partner within NNI Employee Experience, Capabilities Leads, HRBPs and Global P&O colleagues to design, develop, curate, co-create learning solutions, as needed

  • Liaise and partner with business management leads to ensure relevance and value of curriculum and successful learning outcomes

  • Engage in tactical vendor management

  • Adhere to content management strategy and create awareness of asset development within Employee Experience

    Physical Requirements

    20-30% overnight travel required.

    Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred.

  • A minimum of 8 years training experience. Prior applicable Novo Nordisk experience will apply.

  • Experience with leading enterprise-wide curriculum, capabilities and learning & development experience required. Proficiency in the enterprise-wide functions and project management highly preferred.

  • Design/development experience required. Leader development experience required.

  • Strong executive presence required - ability to impact, influence and interact with senior business leaders and partners.

  • Strong cross-functional leader and communicator required.

  • Strong strategic and business analysis skills required.

  • Strong project management skills required.
