Job Information

Saint-Gobain Truck Loader (2nd Shift) in PLAINFIELD, Indiana

  • Under direct supervision, handles and maintains flow of materials and products in distribution areas according to established guidelines. Ability to operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment while accurately storing, shipping, and receiving product, meeting the company standards of safety, security, and productivity.

  • Loading orders onto trailers that are ready for shipment

  • Ensuring outbound shipments are accurate and free from damage

  • Providing feedback to supervision for orders that do not meet “Best Practices” standards (example: wrong size box used, box too heavy, etc.)

  • Accurate processing and shipping of product

  • Meeting standards of safety, security, and productivity

  • Verification of Order information & processing or orders for shipment

  • Ability to read and effectively communicate in English, count accurately, perform simple math, and write legibly

  • Familiarity with voice picking and/or radio frequency equipment is beneficial

  • Ability to follow directions

  • Must have good visual acuity, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

  • Must have no adverse hearing loss that cannot be corrected with hearing aids.

  • Ability to pass OSHA approved Crown material handling equipment certification.

  • Ability to tolerate exposure to modest amounts of heat, cold, dust, noise, and vibrations.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

  • Ability to lift 30 lbs consistently, up to 50 lbs occasionally

  • Ability to maintain a high level of frequency & intensity in other physical activities including, but not limited to reaching, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, stooping, kneeling & crouching.
