JOB REQUIREMENTS: Kraemer North America is currently looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team in our Upper Midwest Wisconsin/Illinois/Iowa Region (Plain, WI). Remote work option is available for the right candidate with the understanding that some on-site presence in Plain, Wisconsin will be necessary. As an Estimator, you will analyze plans, specifications, proposals and other documents to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services, while applying knowledge of specialized techniques, principles, or processes. You will also maintain positive relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and potential clients to promote Kraemer and help gain competitive advantage in your assigned market. Responsibilities Work with operations group in identifying market opportunities for assigned region by establishing and maintaining effective contact with owners, subs, suppliers, consultants, and potential clients Performs quantity takeoffs Completes pricing of work Vendor solicitation and DBE compliance Analyzes subcontract quotes and prepares bid documents, order bonds Performs various administrative duties, including job set-ups after award Markets and reviews trade publications for upcoming work Analyzes and understands project requirements and risks Compares projects to similar projects previously completed by KNA to determine estimated costs Communicates project requirements to and coordinates involvement of subcontractors, suppliers, project managers, regional managers, etc. Interprets project plans and specifications Prepares and oversees pre-bid schedule Prepares turnover document Conducts historical cost analysis Ensures compliance with KNA Safety and Quality Programs Monitors projects, comparing budgets to actual ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Technical school degree in Architecture/Engineering/Construction preferred 5 20 years previous estimating experience, preferably in construction and/or bridges Knowledge of construction methods and equipment used in heavy civil construction Knowledge of regional suppliers, subcontractors, and specification requirements Experience with HCSS preferred Ability to read and understand project plans and specifications Ability to prepare spreadsheets and databases Knowledge of accounting processes Ability to work at a fast pace Ability to complete tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision; self-starter OSHA 10 safety planning preferred ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply Online: www.kraemerna.com
