SATURDAY FLOAT TELLER 2 Saturdays at 110 Dalton Ave, Pittsfield & 2 Saturdays at 734 Williams St, Pittsfield JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Teller performs a wide variety of customer service operations and general clerical duties, including transactions for checking, savings, loans, and other assigned services. Builds superior customer relations as the Bank\'s main point of customer contact; maintains working knowledge of established policies and operating procedures. Makes customer referrals to have a positive impact on customer service and bank goals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS -Maintains working knowledge of all products offered by the Bank and the corresponding policies and procedures. -Performs an extensive variety of customer transactions in accordance to Bank policy and procedures. -Maintains working knowledge of all banking regulations. -Adheres to branch security practices and guidelines (secures work station, keys, combinations, customer information, etc.) and regulatory compliance. -Accurately processes large amounts of cash in an organized, timely, and accurate manner. Balances own cash drawer daily within the prescribed balancing guidelines. -Adheres to safe deposit box procedures and guidelines. -Actively refers bank products to support the customer\'s needs or wants. Promotes the Bank\'s products and seeks to broaden the customer base. -Demonstrates superior customer service skills at all times to promote a positive image for the Bank through face-to-face communication and telephone etiquette. -Responds to and resolves routine customer inquiries independently to maintain a superior level of customer service. Will escalate inquiries to the appropriate team member or department when needed OTHER FUNCTIONS -Provides back up and support to Head Teller tasks as needed. -Performs other duties as needed or assigned. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES -Possess a High School diploma or its equivalent. -Perform as a team player, displaying a positive and professional attitude toward customers and co-workers. -General math skills: adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. -Excellent communication skills to be concise, clear, and tactful. -Prior banking experience preferred -Prior customer service experience preferred -Cash handling experience -Basic computer skills -Ability to work Saturdays as scheduled PHYSICAL DEMANDS -Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. -Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. on occasion.
