Job Summary: The Press Brake Operator is responsible to prepare and run the press brake machine to bend and form parts and materials for vehicles. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Preparation and run bend setups and forming operations - Work with supervisor to ensure material for each job is on schedule - Requisition parts and equipment as necessary - Liaise with supervisor on problems to achieve efficient repair - Maintain a clean and tidy work area - Complete all documentation including inspection sheets, certificates, and receipts applying signatures as appropriate - Identify abnormalities and repairs required as result of internal actions and advise the supervisor accordingly - Identify areas of process improvement, cost and waste reduction - Work in an efficient and timely manner - Undertake relevant training and development as required - Carry out work orders within a realistic time line ensuring that deadlines are met - Maintain cooperative working relationships, and demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population - Record all hours worked accurately ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - General maintenance of the press brake machine - Adhere to and carry out existing work practices, procedures and policies - Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate - Understand and comply with safety and environmental policies - Other duties as assigned INTERACTION WITH: - Stock room as well as numerous levels of internal staff within a variety of departments - Occasional customer interaction EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3 years\' experience working with Press Brake Machine EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED equivalent KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: - Must have full understanding of print reading and geometric tolerances and how they relate to the finished part - Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision - Excellent listening skills - Take and understand measurements - Ability to follow directions - Ability to maintain focus - Meet deadlines - Math skills required (add, subtract, divide, and geometry) - Reading abilities required (including schematics and blueprints) - Ability to write legibly - Follow safety and materials policies and procedures - Attention to detail EQUIPMENT USED: - Tape measure - Press Brake - Pallet Jack - Protractor PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - Must be able to pass physical exam - Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs. - Ability to exert maximum force to pull and carry objects - Extended periods of standing, bending, squatting - Vision a minimum 20/40 with or without corrective lenses - Good hearing SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: - Lenco Industries supports and complies with all Federal and State Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) requirements. - All employees are required to comply with and participate in all Lenco Industries\' SHE programs. - Safety is everyone\'s responsibility. - Working safely is a precondition of employment.
