Medical Records Clerk Job in Pittsfield, MA Location: Pittsfield, MA Pay: \$19/hour+ depending on experience Hours: 8a - 4:30p TEC is helping a local medical office find a Medical Records Clerk. This person will be in charge of handling patient and medical records in a professional manner and all other tasks along with managing this sensitive information. Job Duties: - Handling of medical records requests for patients or outside providers - Handling of medical records requests from attorneys, preparing certified billing statements for attorneys - Completing disability forms for patients such as FMLA forms - Reviewing daily visit records in the EMR for any discrepancies in the record and sending tasks to providers - Faxing daily visit records to primary care and referring providers - Position requires attention to detail, following all HIPAA guidelines, making sure that releases are properly signed, etc. - Perform excellent customer service in person, over the phone and potential emails - Maintain strict confidentiality Preferences/Requirements: - Basic office skills required: data entry, good communication, excellent phone etiquette, time management, etc. - Ability to work independently and take direction required - High School Diploma or equivalent required - Excellent customer service required - Ability to be a great team member required - At least 2 Years Medical Records experience preferred - Experience with healthcare specific software systems
