DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: POSITION SUMMARY: The Re-Entry Service Navigator serves as a service coordinator to participants transitioning from incarceration in a Bureau of Prison(BOP) facility to a BOP Residential Reentry Center(RRC) and/or BOP-contracted RRCs and to the community.  The Service Navigator prepares reentrants to reintegrate back to the community through pre-release planning, employment training, and other necessary supportive services.  This position coordinates services with other Goodwill programs, First Step Act staff and community partners. The Service Navigator role provides advocacy, full scope case planning, job coaching and program referrals to work towards the participant's goal of overcoming barriers to reentry.

Duties will also include but are not limited to: * Initiate and/or update the participant's Individual Development Plan(IDP) as needed. * Facilitate the needs assessment system to encompass all programmatic requirements, remediate barriers prior to release and provide supportive services in all phases of reentry * Track participants' progress of Individual Development Plan(IDP), outcomes, and types of requests through database system(s). * Deliver job readiness and job retention instruction using a variety of methods to appeal to varying learning styles and abilities. * Facilitate a job club within contracted facilities and in the community presenting best practices and focusing on retention seeking efforts. Monitor attendance and promote involvement.

External Hiring Range: $41,756.00 - $43,426.24

Retention Bonus:  $750.00 retention incentive after 6 months of employment with an additional $750.00 after one year of employment. 

Schedule: 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday some evenings and weekends required. 

Travel: local travel will be required

QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or equivalent AND 6 years of experience required. OR * Associate's degree AND 4 years of experience required. OR * Bachelor's degree AND 2 years of experience required.

Required Experience: Experience with case management, locating community and social services for at-risk or vulnerable adult populations, required.  Database experience, required.

REQUIRED CLEARANCES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS: * Candidates are expected to provide current, valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH).
