Senior Project Manager

Primary Job Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Employment Format: Full Time/Hybrid

Position Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Senior Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.

Responsibilities:

  • Propose and finalize the project budget.

  • Direct and review the overall planning of project activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.

  • Ensure the accomplishment of project outcomes in accordance with the contractual scope of work, schedule, quality requirements, and company processes.

  • Monitor, report, and achieve targets for project costs, revenues, margin, and cash flow.

  • Monitor, report, and achieve project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Manage the client relationship and provide project status reviews.

  • Prepare and/or review cost and risk analyses, as well as extra work claims for the client.

  • Manage claims and change orders effectively.

  • Execute the staffing process for the project team.

  • Evaluate the performance of project team members.

  • Manage subcontractors and their scope of work.

  • Coordinate through the installation, testing, and commissioning phases of the project.

  • Promote business opportunities and collaborate closely with Sales Managers.

  • Perform other duties associated with this position as appropriate.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Discipline or Business Discipline required

  • 5 - 10 years of experience managing large signaling projects (>$50M)

  • Experience managing system integration projects with construction and technical subsystems

  • Experience in the Mass Transit rail industry, particularly in signaling

  • Working knowledge of safety and security, Buy America regulations, train control systems, passenger vehicles, communication systems, traction electrification systems, and operation & maintenance of rail systems.

  • Superior leadership and communication skills

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite

  • English language proficiency

Recommended:

  • MBA Preferred

  • PMP Certification a plus

  • Personal organization

  • Risk management
