UPMC Research Technician Maternal-Fetal Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is seeking a Full Time Research Technician Clinical Research to support the Simhan research group!

This position will work Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.

This position is grant funded.

Under supervision, the Research Tech Clinical Research is responsible for accurately performing research projects according to established study design and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe clean laboratory-working environment including appropriate equipment maintenance and usage, by conforming to laboratory and Hospital policies and standards.

  • Administer questionnaires and assist with procedures for obtaining patient screening and recruitment as well as obtaining research specimens.

  • Assist in performing research protocol experimental procedures, under close supervision, including appropriate collection, recording, storage and analysis of data.

  • Prepare, label, store and dispose of reagents and calibrates equipment for research projects.

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· One year of college training or one year of experience working within a biomedical research laboratory environment required.

· Bachelor’s degree in a related science field preferred.
