Post Doctoral.Post Doctoral.Associate Med-Pharmacology and Chemical Biology - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (24003442)

A postdoctoral position in molecular pharmacology is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Palladino at the University of Pittsburgh. The funded project will focus on metabolic diseases using fly and mouse models as well as cell culture and patient cells. The lab's current projects focuses on mechanistic studies into pathogenesis as well as testing novel therapies.

Necessary research skills include standard molecular and cellular biology techniques. Prior experience using mice, human cell culture and human fibroblast cells is ideal. In addition, candidates should have outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills and excellent written and oral skills. Salary is commensurate with experience and based on current NIH guidelines.

To apply for the position, qualified candidates with a PhD degree in genetics, biochemistry, cell biology, physiology or pharmacology, should submit a CV including description of technical skills and 2-3 reference letters. Applications from women and minorities are strongly encouraged.
