Payroll Processing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the accurate and timely processing of payroll for a large workforce of over 5000+ employees. Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 2 years of experience.

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and calculations.

  • Proven work experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role.

  • Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Excel for data manipulation.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

  • Analytical mindset to identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Problem-solving skills to address payroll-related issues.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Summary

Serves as a primary contact on multiple planning and evaluation of resource projects and provides support and guidance. Develops new procedures and policies to improve payroll processes. Reviews and corrects record changes, payroll actions, employment forms, and payroll registers and oversees recruitment actions, requests, and reclassifications. Creates and maintains database, analyzes data, and prepares complex reports and proposals. Facilitates the automated salary increase process and ensures accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations.

Essential Functions

Processing payroll, trouble shooting, and testing abilities required. Keyboarding skills and the ability to follow oral and written instructions. Pressure of public contact, which includes the handling of a difficult personality, a disturbance, or a sensitive situation. Ability to keep information confidential.

This position is an integral part of the payroll department. It requires attention to detail as this position will run the monthly, bi-weekly, UPP2, and any special payroll processes each month. There will be additional responsibilities which will include troubleshooting, process improvement, and analysis. This position requires the employee to have good communication skills and collaborate effectively with the entire payroll team.

Position is primarily sedentary and work remotely.
