Marketing and Communications Coordinator

The Office of Health Sciences Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (HS-DEI) is searching for a talented individual with a passion for building and maintaining an engaging brand through creative marketing, communications, design, and social media storytelling. Creating dynamic storytelling campaigns across a variety of media and on a global scale is paramount to attracting a diverse population of students to the Health Sciences.

 

The role of the Marketing and Communications Coordinator within the Office of Health Sciences Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion encompasses the effective management of various concurrent initiatives and endeavors aimed at enhancing the branding, communication, and marketing efforts of the Office. Under the supervision of the Director of HS-DEI, this position will play a pivotal role in marketing educational degree programs, faculty recruitment, special events, and more. The incumbent will oversee the dissemination of digital and print-based marketing collateral through diverse channels to reach intended target audiences and stakeholders, while also executing all other facets of the overarching marketing strategy.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and creative individual with strong writing skills, be adept in the proper use of grammar, and be familiar with key concepts in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Job Summary

 

Designs marketing materials for non-degree and certificate University programs including newsletters, magazines, publications, flyers, brochures, web information, videos and course materials. Assists with editing and writing communications.

 

Essential Functions

-Coordinates marketing strategies and functions for HS-DEI across all platforms, channels, and strategies while maintaining adherence to strict branding and style guidelines.

-Employs writing, design, and multimedia skills to target specific audiences across a variety of digital and print media.

-Coordinates strategies and tactics that capture meaningful and actionable marketing analytics for the purposes of measuring and improving results.

-Develops content marketing campaigns in coordination with a myriad of internal and external partners and collaborators.

-Manages the HS-DEI website, produces timely updates, and creates new content. Ability to refine content for best practices in search engine optimization. Additional capabilities in WordPress and/or Drupal website management are preferred.

-Showcasing their commitment to understanding and being inclusive to allyship with the communities for whom we serve.

Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.

Ability to lift up to twenty five pounds occasionally.
