Manager of Professional Learning - World Language The Manager of Professional Learning (World Language) designs and facilitates high-level professional learning experiences for educators using Carnegie Learning's World Language products, is a product ambassador, creates resources for World Language product users, and oversees a team of part-time Master Practitioners who also support our World Language customers. The Manager of Professional Learning (World Language) reports to the Sr. Director of Professional Learning Design and collaborates regularly with the SVP of Professional Learning, the World Language Instructional Design/Product Team, and all World Language PL team members. This job requires 50% travel, nationally. What Your Day Will Look Like The Manager of Professional Learning (World Language) will... Manage the development (and ongoing refinement) of Initial Implementation Workshop, MyPL+ courses, and other job-embedded professional learning offerings related to supporting the use of all World Language products in collaboration with the Sr. Director of Professional Learning Design. Ensure the delivery on our mission statement in all World Language professional learning offerings. Deliver engaging professional learning workshops, as needed. Deliver intentional job-embedded professional learning; including, but not limited to, formal coaching cycles, demonstration lesson cycles, co-teaching, lesson planning, PLC facilitation, leadership walkthroughs, etc. Maintain a professional, thought leadership presence in associations and conferences. Lead, grow and develop a team of part time Master Practitioners for World Language Equitably recruit, interview, and hire with a focus on finding candidates who exemplify our core competencies. Oversee the orientation and product training of all new part-time hires, holding them accountable for the completion of all assigned tasks and providing additional support where needed. In collaboration with the Sr. Manager of PL Programs and the SVP of Professional Learning, establish a set of processes to ensure the appropriate assignment and scheduling of professional learning work Communicate regularly withMaster Practitioner team members through team calls and individual check-ins, when needed. Partner with the Customer Education team to develop additional free resources and learning activities to onboard, engage, and retain our new and existing World Language customers (including but not limited to help center content, user's guides, free live webinars, etc.) Partner with the World Language product team on all PL to ensure up to date knowledge of content and technology, as well as fidelity to the philosophy and approach of our WL products Partner with the sales team to communicate World Language PL offerings and support the upsell of WL PL packages with adoptions and to deliver presentations and design customer-specific solutions/proposals for high level World Language sales opportunities. Work collaboratively with other departments to represent the customer and support continuous improvement and customer-driven culture. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent. What Should Be In Your Backpack * Master's degree (preferred), Bachelor's degree in World Language education (required) * 5+ years of World Language classroom teaching experience * Experience teaching with Carnegie Learning' World Language resources (preferred) * Experience mentoring, coaching, or managing teachers and/or delivering professional learning (preferred) * Understanding of school and district infrastructure including technology environments and management * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment maintaining positive attitude in stressful situations * Solution-minded and detail-oriented; always looking for ways to improve efficiency, communication and the customer experience * Ability to follow through on assigned tasks and projects with minimal supervision * Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills What Gives Us Purpose Others teach what; we teach why.
