We are currently searching for a Junior Business Analyst for our Pittsburgh office. This position will sit on the Reporting team in our Accounting department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain various Excel spreadsheets related to cyclical reporting, including headcount, billable hours, and realization/effective rates.
  • Gather, organize, and verify data via SSRS and Excel essential for cyclical reports, special projects, and business evaluations.
  • Create ad hoc reports, using a multidimensional cube, as requested by various attorneys, departments, and senior management.
  • Develop summaries and reports of findings from data collected for special projects and business evaluations.
  • Work with Financial Business Manager to create documentation and workflows for department data, with an eye toward automation.
  • Support system upgrades and conversions by coordinating testing of changes, preparing user manuals, and responding to attorney questions.
  • Work closely with the Human Resource and Billing departments to ensure timekeeper data is reflected correctly in our systems. Required Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Systems.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and/or MDX a plus.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform at a high level of effectiveness, in a fast paced environment, managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail.
