DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: The IT Manager II, Portfolio Management Process position resides within the IT Function in the IT PMO and is a process specialist position, responsible for overseeing and managing the project portfolio management process, governance, and team. The portfolio management process oversees the facilitation of global IT projects through approvals, prioritization, and resourcing. You will have responsibility for onboarding, coaching, career development planning, and management of global personnel. This position onboards and develops entry level and junior team members who provide analyst support services to Project/Program Managers and Portfolio Analysts. There is also a focus on developing IT relationships with internal customers, including the IT leadership team.

Key Responsibilities  * Own and manage the global IT project portfolio management process, governance, and team providing project portfolio management services including IT project gate review and approval process facilitation, resource planning across shared service organizations, and portfolio reviews with individual business portfolio leaders  * Lead process improvement projects, including requirements gathering and aligning key stakeholders through design, build, implementation, and associated organizational change management, resulting in continuous process maturity improvement  * Prioritize team resources and tasks, develop contingencies, adjust scope, monitor status of efforts, control project plans and costs, provide management feedback on the group's initiatives  * Directly manage and coach global project team members while setting priorities for the group's work and delegating.  * Conduct goal-setting for direct reports, which includes project management and business analysis resources  * Work collaboratively in a matrixed environment to achieve results  * Resolve conflict, while fostering a collaborative and constructive team environment, in order to fulfill the department's operating objectives

Qualifications  * A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject area, or equivalent work experience and technical training  * Greater than 8 years of IT experience in business application design and systems development, including implementation and installation of systems  * Greater than 2 years of experience in personnel supervision or team leadership  * Knowledge of project management and portfolio management processes.  * Understanding of current industry trends, and application of project management and portfolio management standard methodologies to PPG processes  * Comfortable working remotely with lack of face-to-face time with direct reports, colleagues, and managers
