Robert Half Firmware Engineer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Description

We are on the lookout for a Firmware Engineer to join our clien's team located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be the firmware/software expert, collaborating with a diverse team of engineers and other department members to design and develop our future products. This role also involves managing third-party developers and solving customer issues related to software and firmware.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the firmware and software development process for projects related to chemical vapor monitoring and control

• Collaborate closely with other members of the Engineering team and other departments in the development of new products and the support/update of existing ones

• Manage software development projects completed by third-party vendors

• Serve as the subject matter expert for all queries related to software or firmware

• Collaborate with other departments to develop technical and functional requirements, and assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed new products and improvements to existing ones

• Develop embedded firmware across various platforms and manage the development of software for Windows and Android

• Conduct functional testing from prototype to final release to ensure stable products that work as specified

• Enhance current products and services based on market demands and the availability of new technologies

• Ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule

• Document processes and procedures related to software and firmware development comprehensively

• Collaborate with sales/marketing teams to develop roll-out strategies for new software products

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Firmware Engineer

• Proficient in Assertion Markup Language

• Demonstrated experience in Bug Tracking

• Strong knowledge of C+

  • • Familiarity with Compiler development and optimization

• Experience with EO/IR systems

• Proficiency in AB Testing

• Expertise in Algorithm Implementation

• Knowledge of ARM architecture

• Understanding of Computer Hardware

• Proven ability to Debug Applications

• Required to comply with all company policies and procedures

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
