POSITION SUMMARY MEPPI's Service Center Division (SCD) is looking for a Field Service Technician I to perform maintenance and service support activities of single and three-phase uninterruptible power supplies and peripherals to internal and external customers. Perform battery installations and routine testing.

*This position will require the successful candidate to travel more than 70% of the time. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform on-site customer service of power quality products to include preventative and remedial maintenance, field modification, and testing.
  • Provide customer contact for scheduling routine service and Preventative Maintenance work.
  • Perform routine troubleshooting and repair work on power-quality products.
  • Perform battery installations and testing.
  • Perform maintenance procedure on periodical flow.
  • Maintain service records and documentation of services provided.
  • Inspect and test returned products and components and systems to determine defects and/or operational status.
  • Submit accurate expense reports into the Company for reimbursement on a timely manner in accordance with Company policies
  • Work with other MEPPI departments including Engineering to determine product solutions for improved performance and protection.
  • Further the goals and a positive image of the Division by conducting business with other MEPPI departments, customers, and suppliers in a timely and cooperative manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates in Electrical Electronics or related technical field plus 0-1 years experience in troubleshooting and repair of a technical, electrical and/or electronic product or equivalent education and experience.
  • Developed knowledge and proficiency of mechanical and electronic test equipment.
  • Developed verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate with others, including customers, in a professional manner.
  • Developed computer skills with emphasis on MS Office products and MRP/ERP business systems.
