University of Pittsburgh Faculty Professor Assistant - Full-Time in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

CARDIOTHORACIC SURGERY

The Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine seeks a full-time faculty member for a clinical position at the rank of Assistant Professor, appointment stream, at our UPMC Presbyterian Hospital location in Pittsburgh, PA.

The position is open to applicants who hold doctoral-level education (MD or DO) and are eligible for medical licensure in Pennsylvania. Applicants must be ABTS board-eligible/certified and must have completed a general thoracic track cardiothoracic residency program or have concentrated experience in minimally invasive thoracic surgery. The candidate must demonstrate significant interest and ability in clinical care and teaching. An established track record and interest in designing and pursuing innovative research studies are optional.
