ANCC Magnet designated UPMC Passavant is currently hiring a Full-Time Equipment Reprocessor to support our GI Laboratory at the McCandless location.

Shift Details:

  • Monday - Friday

  • 8 hr. shifts

  • Start times between 6am and 8:30am

  • Holidays & weekends off

  • Shifts will be further discussed during the interview.

Purpose:

Cares for, handles and reprocesses all fiber optic endoscopy equipment and accessories used in the GI Laboratory.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate accurate cleaning and disinfection procedures for all endoscopes and accessories.

  • Adhere to universal infection control guidelines when cleaning and disinfecting scopes and accessories.

  • Contribute to an efficient work and team environment.

  • Assume responsibility for own development.

  • Maintain unit standards of quality control and safety.

  • Demonstrate proper handling techniques for scopes and accessories.

  • Contribute to maintaining a neat, clean and safe environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous employment or training as an Endoscopy Technician or other medical specialty such as Central Service Technician preferred. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 34
