The Spirit of the Position:

Our LAZ Parking Equipment and Maintenance Managers* are cross trained in a variety of services and can assist customers, equipment, and manage maintenance projects in a variety of different ways.

Job Overview and Core Functions:

Parking Equipment and Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintaining parking equipment and overseeing maintenance projects.

Responsibilities:

  • As the parking Equipment and Maintenance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our client's parking equipment.
  • You will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians and implementing strategic maintenance projects to optimize performance, minimize downtime, and uphold safety and quality standards.  
  • On-site service and maintenance for our parking and access control hardware and software.
  • Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs to prolong the life of equipment and reduce downtime.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical issues with equipment.
  • Provide support for multiple products.
  • Be proactive and anticipate the needs of the equipment and seasonal maintenance.
  • Software and hardware support for clients and other field service technicians.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Display effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work on proprietary software.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance processes and procedures, including preventative maintenance.
  • Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair issues.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work with various operating systems and have knowledge of networking.
  • SQL Server database maintenance and Microsoft Operating Systems.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to train and supervise staff.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, specifically with customers, as well as the ability to work well withing a team environment.
  • Clean driving record.

Education:

  • Electronic technical school training or equivalent
  • Knowledge of software operating systems is preferred

Skills:

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
  • Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide a safe environment and demonstrate a high level of compassionate customer service.
  • Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.
  • Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
