As an Engineer IV in the Standards in Asset Management group, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our electrical infrastructure. Collaborating with our team, you'll be at the forefront of developing and maintaining industry standards, contributing to the design and implementation of cutting-edge substation technologies. Your expertise and experience will be instrumental in shaping the future of power systems while adhering to the highest engineering and safety standards.

Location: Hybrid, downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Responsibilities: Develop, update, organize, and maintain engineering standards and specifications. Develop, update, organize, and maintain engineering policies, procedures, and practices. Investigate new products and materials and perform technical studies, including calculations, cost-saving analysis. Prepare technical reports including, root cause analysis conclusions and recommendations. Provide engineering and technical guidance and support to peers and bargaining unit employees in the office and the field. Provide recommendations to appropriate stakeholders related to design and cost information for assigned projects. Collaborate with relevant parties as needed to fully understand all aspects of assigned projects in order to act in advisory capacity. Provide assistance, technical support, and training to field operations personnel during normal and emergency conditions. Maintains familiarity with current codes, regulations, standards, and safety practices impacting equipment, materials, and tools used by the company. Storm Duty Responsibilities as assigned. Administrative and other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering from an ABET-Accredited institution is required. Five (5) or more years of relevant experience required. Utility experience preferred. Standards and specifications experience preferred. Professional Engineer Licensure preferred. Must have excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills. Must have excellent technical writing capabilities.
