Job Description :

GENERAL OVERVIEW

Coordinates communications from LifeFlight, Air Medical Programs, EMS providers and referral agencies to appropriate areas within AHN.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates flight requests and critical care ground transports; provides flight following for aviation vendor. (30%)

  • Enters data for all activities performed within the communication center.(20%)

  • Registers for LifeFlight transports and places charges in EPIC for flights and ground transports. Completes all appropriate documentation for patient care record in EMS charts. Provides primary support for One-Call. (15%)

  • Coordinates and dispatches specialty teams within WPAHS facilities.(10%)

  • Monitors all incoming traffic to heliport and safety watch. (10%)

  • Receives EMS medical command notification and requests by telephone and radio. (10%)

  • Provides offload support to flight team. (5%)

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

  • GED/High School diploma

  • 2 years related experience

Preferred

EMT with dispatching experience preferred
