Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh Community Investment Systems and Data Analyst in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Reference #: R294 Position Summary The Community Investment Systems and Data Analyst will manage the data and reporting functions of the Community Investment department at FHLBank Pittsburgh and play a key role in the development, implementation and maintenance of new applications that support FHLBank's grant and loan programs.

This individual will complete a 6-12 month rotation period with the Business Development & Strategy department, initially reporting to the Business Solutions and Analytics Manager. This rotation will allow the individual to develop a foundational knowledge of the Bank's data analytics strategy including data sources, Tableau dashboards, committee reporting, etc. Upon completion of the rotation, this position will report to the Senior Manager, Community Products within the Community Investment department.

Primary Success Factors

Acts as key business representative on the multi-year community investment product automation project to develop new systems that support FHLBank's grant and loan programs.

Collaborate with product managers and Information Technology to evaluate reporting and process improvements

Supports new product implementation and testing, focusing on integration and adoption of new data and reporting capabilities

In conjunction with Community Investment management, prepare and submit required reporting to external constituents (Federal Housing Finance Agency, Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Affordable Housing Advisory Council, Board of Directors, Corporate Social Responsibility, etc.).

Supports ad hoc reporting for the Bank's Affordable Housing Advisory Council, Board of Directors, management committees and other requests.

Manage departmental analytics including identification and delivery of key information and tools that enhance decision-making, improve efficiency and measure impact. Includes monitoring of market intelligence, peer analysis and business trends.

Independently identify, develop, and implement new reports and enhancements for existing reports to further department priorities and goals.

Provides operational processing support to FHLBank's affordable housing and economic development programs, as requested.

Leads departmental Tableau content management. Includes design, development, maintenance and enhancements to existing Tableau reporting. Common functions include:

Goal tracking including product use, volume and product readiness

Product activity, volume and community impact

Member engagement initiatives, including events and call tracking

Activities with strategic partnerships

Market and/or peer analytics

Partners with Information Technology to ensure highest level of data standards are achieved to provide accurate and timely information to the department, Senior Management and stakeholders. Manages external data sources that supplement core system data and facilitates corresponding analytics. Translates business requirements to enhance or develop new data sources.

Ensures compliance with applicable policies, procedures and regulations to ensure safe and sound business practices.

Required Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing/Communications or another relevant field or equivalent experience in banking or financial services; MBA a plus.

Five or more years of relevant business experience with an emphasis on project and product management in financial services.

Tableau experience required, advanced Tableau developer capabilities preferred; SaaS or Python experience a plus.

Experience with system development and automation of a business process or product strongly preferred.

Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Working knowledge of Information Technology and experience in community and economic development, financial services and/or real estate development.

Proven track record and skills to deeply understa d service capabilities, assess risks, and formulate partnerships for consistent delivery of high-quality products and services.

Highly attentive to detail; ability to routinely manage large data sets.

Strong interpersonal skills - effective listening and teaming, self-motivated, demonstrated a bias for action.

Strong customer service, analytical, organizational and problem resolution capabilities.

Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task.

Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
