The salary range for this role is:$114,725.52 - $206,420.24

Responsibilities: The Business Development Senior Manager Ethnic Markets & Puerto Rico will lead penetration and development of the important Ethnic business, not only within the contiguous United States but also its territories, specifically, Puerto Rico and tangentially Canada.

Focus will include the Asian channel, capitalizing on the strong demand among the large US Filipino community for the imported products of Del Monte Pacific Limited (DMPL), and other growing Ethnic channels, specifically the Hispanic segment. Del Monte is an iconic brand in the Philippines and Puerto Rico. DMPL & DMFI dominate many categories including canned juices and juice drinks, canned fruit, tomato ketchup, tomato sauce, pasta sauces and pasta.

This role will be responsible for expanding reach and distribution to all Ethnic consumers in defined territories above, supplementing the Ethnic product portfolio with new products, produced either at the 6 DMFI plants and/or sourced from high quality 3rd party producers.

This role will also provide support, guidance, and insight behind the expansion of the DMPL portfolio into targeted traditional Retail, Mass, and Alternative channels as well as Center of Excellence support to selected regional and national retailers.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Sales and Marketing Planning Analyze the Asian, Hispanic and other Ethnic markets within North America and Puerto Rico and the DMPL product range and economics to develop and gain approval for a Multi-year Business Plan for developing profitable sales of all DMPL & DMFI products. Provide strategic input, reflecting marketplace and customer requirements into the Del Monte Foods AOP/marketing planning process. The input should focus on trade marketing strategy/tactics and result in a final plan that can be executed with customers to achieve company objectives. Establish local market priorities, objectives-and strategies to develop market/account plans that deliver DMFI's objectives within defined Corporate/Brand strategies.

Sales Execution Establish strong direct relationships with retailers while developing a network of effective distributors. Direct and manage distributors and key retail groups to assigned territories within North America & Puerto Rico to implement account plans to achieve AOP volume objectives and key sales priorities (distribution, pricing, shelving, and merchandising).

Resource Development and Deployment Leverage and engage appropriate levels of internal and external DMFI cross functional resources to be prioritized and deployed against key initiatives to achieve business objectives. Identify volume and profit opportunities that can be realized through improvements in supply chain, product sourcing or new category entry. Evaluate alternative AEM Sales structure to optimize customer penetration and coverage.

Trade Spending Manage all aspects of trade spending to ensure DMFI funds are utilized in an effective and equitable manner consistent with Brand promotional strategies to achieve sales, marketing, and financial objectives. Review and evaluate trade promotion results and propose/recommend future marketing activities.

Customer Development Develop new and expand existing business in etail and tangentially, Ethnic Foodservice accounts by focusing on adding value and facilitating the execution of strategic initiatives to achieve an on-going competitive advantage in the Ethnic Channel.

Administration Maintain timely and accurate item level volume forecasts to ensure product availability across DLM distribution network. Effectively manage administrative responsibilities including information requests, competitive intelligence, results tracking and analysis, expense reports, deduction management, etc. Works hand-in-hand with Commercialization and Customer Support to provide timely order fulfillment and appropriate documentation to meet area shipping requirements including but not limited to labeling, formulation, sku set up, etc.

Other Provide Center of Excellence Support to fellow BDMs towards Ethnic product initiatives in selected regional and national retailers on as needed basis. Participate in other special projects and assignments as required.

Qualifications:

B.A/B. S in Business Administration or related field; MBA preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of sales/marketing experience within the U.S. in Asian / Ethnic food channels Previous experience working in CPG and/or manufacturing environment preferred. Experience in retail/foodservice a plus. Driven and highly results oriented. Entrepreneurial mindset. Strong selling and sales relationship skills. Keen business mindset. Able to set clear strategic goals and make financially backed recommendations. Bilingual in Asian language (Korean, Tagalog (Filipino) or Chinese) or Hispanic language; verbal fluency is preferred. This position will require 50% domestic travel across East and West Coast as well as Puerto Rico. WE OFFER:
