Huntington National Bank Business Banking Deposit Product and Lending Pricing Director in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description

The Business Banking Deposit Product and Lending Pricing Director is a leadership role that is responsible for driving the vision, strategy, execution of the product road map, and ongoing performance management of the Regional Bank segment's $25 billion in commercial deposit balances and $114mm of commercial service charges. In addition to leading the Regional Banks deposit efforts this role is also responsible for leading business lending pricing and managing $1.3b in loan margin.

The preferred location for this position is Columbus, however, other locations will be considered. If located outside of Columbus, frequent travel there will be required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Establish the business banking deposit product strategy, business lending pricing strategy and priorities necessary to meet or exceed the bank’s balance growth targets, customer growth targets, margin targets, and fee income targets.

  • Identify and set priorities for new product development/ modifications, business lending pricing, fee income, and product positioning.

  • New product development, this includes identifying customer needs, defining product requirements, and collaboration with cross – functional teams including IT, digital, design, marketing, sales, legal, risk, and compliance to ensure that new products are delivered on time, within budget, and that they meet or exceed business case expectations

  • Continuous product and business profitability management through monthly forecasting, portfolio analysis, and marketing, channel, and sales performance reviews

  • Partner closely with marketing, sales, and digital to implement programs, promotions, and a testing roadmap to promote products and services that support the banks growth targets

  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive activity, and obtain customer & colleague feedback to identify risks or opportunities for innovation and improvement.

  • Channel partnership, partner closely with Regional Banking, Digital, and Marketing Segment Executives to cross functionally prioritize and implement new initiatives, processes, communication, etc. to drive growth in product profitability and to ensure mutual goals are achieved.

  • Communicate product & pricing strategy, priorities, and ongoing performance to stakeholders and executive management.

  • Directly and/or indirectly lead a diverse group of products, marketing, sales, analytical, and technical professionals.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications:

  • Business Banking subject matter expertise

  • Proven track record of success in product management

  • Proven track record of success in deposit or lending pricing

  • Keen understanding of the drivers of the bank’s balance sheet and P&L statements

  • Analytical capability to translate hard data into strategic plans

  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience working with cross functional teams

  • Experience with product development methodologies, such as agile, scrum, or waterfall

  • Strong understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning

  • Must be savvy and passionate about driving results

  • Must be able to create an environment that fosters continuous improvement

  • 10yrs + relevant experience

  • Deposit and credit expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree
