Flyspace Productions LLC Bar Server in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Flyspace Productions is seeking Servers and for our latest offering, Pittsburgh Mobile Bars. Pittsburgh Mobile Bars is a fleet of vintage vehicles from around the world that have been converted into mobile tap trucks and bars and are available for rent to events of any size. Servers may provide guests with alcoholic or non-alcoholic sparkling or draft beverages as well as mixed or pre-bottled drinks. 

 

The ideal candidates have excellent customer service skills, experience working as a beverage server or as a craft cocktail maker, and have knowledge of draft system maintenance. A candidate who can also tow a trailer with a company pick up truck or drive a manual vehicle is highly desired. Successful candidates must be over 18 and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This position is only available to persons who can legally work in the US for our company and we are unable to sponsor a visa for this role. This is a part time, as needed, hourly  position  with a starting rate of $15 per hour. Tips are often collected but are not guaranteed. 

 

Servers will assist with event and vehicle preparation, beverage pick ups, on-site set up and operation including mixing or pouring drinks, on-site tear down, and post event clean up and maintenance. The ability to assist with vehicle and tap maintenance and repairs and transporting the mobile tap vehicles to and from the shop is  highly  desired. Events may include open bar style service or may be cash bar in which the Server is expected to handle and be responsible for money handling.

 

Job Qualifications

  • All Servers must be 18 years of age or older

  • RAMP Certified servers preferred

  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and be willing to wear a mask when required by the venue and/or client

    Competencies and Skills Required

  • Previous experience serving and/or mixing beverages

  • Ability to handle money and/or credit card transactions in a trustworthy and accurate manner

  • Physical ability to lift 25+ pounds

  • Willing to work in a flexible schedule typical to the event industry that may include long hours and irregular times, including weekends, nights, and holidays

  • Eager to learn and willingness to be trained in existing systems or policies

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to maintain and establish positive client and guest relationships

  • Reliable transportation throughout Pittsburgh and the ability to arrive on time and ready to work for each shift

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record highly desired

  • The ability to drive a large vehicle such as a van or tow using a trailer and pick up truck as well as the ability to operate a manual or stick shift vehicle highly desired
