Job Information

Steel City Brand Art Director (Contract) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Collaborate with Creative Director and Marketing Team to translate creative ideas into cohesive and compelling apparel and manage all creative components of the brand.

  • Oversee the look and feel of the brand, including design, photography, video, packaging, etc. 

  • Execute the brand guide for a cohesive voice across all platforms

  • Work within deadlines without compromising quality of deliverables

  • Think with innovation to consistently design fresh concepts that are captivating and relevant within the competitive landscape

  • Provide additional design support, as needed, for marketing initiatives

  • Source freelance creatives and delegate work, as necessary

  • Create mood boards and creative briefs with clear deliverables

Requirements

  • 5+ years of design experience 

  • 3+ years of experience in art direction for an apparel brand

  • Previous creative team management preferred

  • Portfolio that showcases a strong personal style 

Additional Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment both independently and collaboratively 

  • Versatile, out-of-the-box thinker

  • Able to provide art direction for all components of an apparel brand

  • Organized, detail oriented, capable of managing time effectively

This is a part time (5-10 hours/week) remote position.
