UPMC Anesthesia Associate in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

UPMC Magee is hiring a full-time Anesthesia Associate to join our team!

Schedule: any shift

Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary from the career ladder based on their individual experience and education.

Responsibilities:

  • Retrieves and appropriately distributes the equipment as directed to prepare a patient for anesthesia.

  • Assists in turning over rooms assuring minimal downtime between cases.

  • Helps maintain an adequate supply of all stock items in work room and keeps the work room clean and in an orderly condition.

  • Under supervision disassembles, decontaminates and sterilizes anesthesia equipment and supplies.

  • Assists in stocking the carts and surgical suites with the required supplies as outlined on the anesthesia surgical suite stock par list.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Prior anesthesia tech experience strongly preferred.

  • 6 months - 1 year of health care experience preferred.

  • If no previous hospital or pre-hospital training, successful completion of UPMC anesthesia technician class required.

  • Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to progress to an Anesthesia Technician position within 6months to 1 year of hire.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 34
