GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

This position is part of the facility team. This position is responsible for maintenance of machinery, equipment, and physical structures. Responsible for planning and carrying out preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrical and HVAC equipment, Medical, Dental and office equipment, generators, vehicle fleet, etc. Responsible for repair/remodel of architectural and structural elements including wall repair and painting, doors and hardware, etc. Responsible for completing and generating work orders as required. Responsible for maintaining all life safety systems. Responsible for following universal precautions and Safety Data Sheets requirements. Responsibilities are for all clinic locations.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Evaluates defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, if applicable.
  2. Depending on trade/experience, is responsible for specific project completion.
  3. Troubleshoots and repairs or coordinates with contractors for plumbing, electrical and HVAC problems; replaces a variety of light bulbs, filters and other misc. consumable items.
  4. Responsible for repairs and maintenance of dental equipment.
  5. Performs preventive maintenance and light repairs in and around facilities some which requires extension ladder and roof-top confidence.
  6. Coordinates vehicle fleet maintenance, including cleaning, routine maintenance and facilitating repairs.
  7. Maintains building doors, hardware and keying system.
  8. Light grounds keeping as needed which may include power washing, sidewalk sweeping, snow removal, de-icing and painting.
  9. Reports and responds to immediate or emergency calls for maintenance assistance, including after hour calls and alarms.
  10. Provides support for duties assigned to custodial technicians.
  11. Maintains inventory and submits written requests for needed supplies.
