Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy Transmission is looking for a Senior Engineer to join their team in the San Franciso Bay Area, California. The selected candidate for this role will use work experience, knowledge and industry accepted practices to approach a broad variety of assignments and related fields on the high voltage DC (HVDC) system. Training on the HVDC system will be provided as part of the HVDC qualification program. You will plan and complete work requiring engineering judgment in selection and substantial adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.

In this position you will work independently to perform most assignments but will coordinate work with operations’ staff to facilitate project completion and assist in training of system operators. This position has responsibility for maintaining NERC operations and planning compliance for various subject area such as facility ratings, transmission operations and oversight of transmission planning.

The base pay for this position is $92,800.00 to $139,200.00 per year. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
