Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Buyer in Pittsburg, California. The role primarily involves processing domestic, international, and capital orders, providing customer service assistance, and coordinating material delivery among other duties. The role is placed within a manufacturing setting and requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Buying Processes, Customer Service, and SAP.

Responsibilities:

• Process domestic, international, and capital orders efficiently

• Act as a liaison between internal customers and suppliers for product/service sourcing

• Assist in the qualification of new suppliers and review contracts

• Coordinate material delivery and freight options

• Provide general customer service assistance including order processing, quote requests, sample requests, returns, and billing resolution

• Enter purchasing data into applicable systems and assist in setting up 3rd party vendors when needed

• Monitor supplier performance and provide feedback to Suppliers/Contractors/Project Managers as needed

• Audit invoice support and reconcile to purchase orders as needed

• Support senior management in the development and implementation of sourcing strategies

• Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

• Possess knowledge of buying processes and procurement principles

• Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships with vendors

• Experience in the manufacturing sector is advantageous

• Familiarity with SAP software for managing business operations and customer relations

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills

• Ability to analyze market trends and apply insights to business decisions

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
