Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Analyst for the Office of Education at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.This Program Analyst is responsible for overseeing key accreditation activities, quality improvement projects, and evaluation for the medical school. The position develops and implements continuous quality improvement strategies, supports a wide range of accreditation activities, and conducts education research and program evaluation. This individual serves as a key liaison to the School of Medicine leadership, office of undergraduate medical education, and other school offices in support of curriculum, learning environment, and accreditation.Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Plans, designs, implements and oversees ongoing accreditation processes for the School of Medicine.
  • Develops continuous quality improvement strategies for School/University initiatives and establishes processes that align with accreditation standards and strategic plans.
  • Designs and coordinates data collection activities for accreditation reviews across institutional offices and synthesizes information for reporting to accreditation bodies and internal stakeholders.
  • Handles logistics of program evaluation, cqi, and education research needs including compiling data, creating reports, analyzing results and overseeing and formatting all submissions/reports.
  • Collects, organizes, and cleans comprehensive educational data from various sources, such as student assessments, faculty evaluations, and academic performance metrics, essential for detailed analysis and accreditation/CQI reporting.
  • Designs and develops detailed reports for internal stakeholders and accrediting bodies, illustrating findings from data analyses. Ensure reports are clear, accurate, and useful. Manages the timely delivery of these reports to meet deadlines.
  • Conducts thorough analysis to identify trends, draw insights, and support decision-making related to curriculum development, faculty performance, and educational outcomes. Use statistical tools and analytical methods to explore data and inform strategic educational planning.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Master's Degree in Program Evaluation, Educational Research, Education with specialization in assessment and evaluation, Psychology, Statistics, Higher Education, Public Health or a related field with five (5) years of research/evaluation experience in an academic, medical, or equivalent environment.
  • Experience reporting on qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent writing, organization, and communication skills are essential.
  • Outstanding ability to generate and implement solutions, the ability to assess and prioritize tasks/data needs, and the ability to function in a team environment.
  • Must have statistical analysis skills, skills in Microsoft Excel, and a variety of software packages and willingness to learn more as needed.
  • Requires knowledge of a statistical software package.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year of lead project management experience or a research thesis.
  • Knowledge of medical education and program evaluation methods.
