JOB SUMMARY:

The A&P Structures Mechanic will perform a variety of tasks for the Bell Piney Flats Aircraft Customization department.

\

  • Candidates selected for this position will be offered a weekday (Monday-Thursday) shift or weekend shift (Friday-Sunday). Shift will be based on preference (if available) and business need.\

  • Responsibilities will include

Disassemble and reassemble aircraft

Perform scheduled inspections with supervision

Perform major and minor repairs and alterations to aircraft structure, including sheet metal and composite repairs and fabrications

Fabrication mounting brackets

Measure, drill, and modify aircraft structures without causing damage to structure or underlying components

Perform various tasks such as ASBs

Document all work accurately, completely, and in a timely manner

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Certification Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

Airframe & Powerplant Certificate

Position Requirements:

2-3 years’ experience as an aircraft mechanic, or equivalent. Must include structures experience. \

  • Additional skills and experience related to job duties may qualify selected candidate for offer at a higher level/pay grade.\

  • Ability to perform basic measuring, drilling, and fabrication tasks

Ability to work from detailed documents, technical manuals, and blueprints

Knowledge of tooling required to complete tasks

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

Strong organization skills

Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment

Ability to work overtime as required

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bell field maintenance courses

Maintenance on Bell commercial models

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to walk and lift up to 25 lbs.

Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands
