First Health of the Carolinas Patient Portal Coordinator in Pinehurst, North Carolina

The Patient Portal Coordinator is responsible for monitoring Patient Portal requests for access to the FirstHealth Patient Portal, including updating email addresses and sending invitations to join the Portal. Also responsible for uploading historical records and /or appropriately releasing current reports to the Portal when requested. The Patient Portal Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring portal requests are managed timely and effectively as well as assisting in troubleshooting issues and educating end users on use of the Portal. This position is also responsible for transmitting Continuation of Care Documents (CCD) to transfer facilities for Meaningful Use. The Patient Portal Coordinator works closely with the Release of Information team in meeting patient, provider offices and customer needs for patient information. Qualifications: Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Information Technology or related or equivalent experience in the health information management field, including regulatory requirements governing access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Work Experience: Skilled position requiring two (2) years of health information management or related technical experience to acquire the requisite knowledge and skills to efficiently perform assigned job. Candidate must have excellent PC knowledge and skills including Windows, HIM applications, and hospital information system software. Previous data analyst, HIM support or similar experience preferred.
